Ferry Project: a Real Living Wage Employer
The Trustees of the Ferry Project are pleased to announce that the Ferry Project is now a real Living Wage employer.
Since 1 April 2024 Ferry Project has been paying all its staff at least the Living Wage.
The Living Wage is different from the national minimum wage and the national living wage in that it is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living. It is voluntarily paid by over 14,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs - like the weekly shop, or a surprise trip to the dentist.
Keith Smith Director of Ferry project said “It is with real pleasure that Ferry Project announces that it is a Living Wage employer. We have been working towards this for several years now and were able to afford to increase our salaries this year by nearly 10%. This increase is in recognition of all the hard work and commitment made by our staff team.”
