Volunteers Help Out at the Ferry Project
On Friday 29th September 2023, the Ferry Project welcomed a group of volunteers from MWH Treatment (a member of the Anglian Water @One Alliance). Seven MWH Treatment employees joined with members of the Ferry Project maintenance team as well as some of the Ferry Project residents in helping to paint the new ‘gender sensitive area’ within the Octavia View building. This area is currently being renovated and prepared to accommodate women who have been victims of domestic violence and abuse and are in need of a safe place to live and recover.
MWH Treatment have been bringing some of their employees to volunteer at the Ferry Project for several years now as part of their ‘community days’ initiative. They love to give something back to their local fenland community as it gives them a great sense of achievement and satisfaction.
The Ferry Project wishes to extend their gratitude and immense thanks for all the time and work its volunteers have given: "We are grateful for their hard work along with the efforts of two of our own volunteers who worked tirelessly today. Thank you".
MWH Treatment also made a kind donation of £50 towards our Community Fund.
More volunteer days are planned in the future.
If you would like to volunteer your time to help in whatever way you can, please contact the Ferry Project.
